Art Talk: My mother's crystal

With the recent passing of my mother her children inherited some of her crystal.

I had seen the crystal around the house growing up, not until I took these pictures of it for identification purposes did I realize how unique, beautiful and artistic each piece was.


Below are three views of the same dish. I am quite amazed at the different qualities and texture you see with each view.

It was fun to hold each piece up to the light and see the prisms of light refracted around the room. What I didn't expect was if the crystal was titled the right way the whole piece almost looked metallic because of the lead that is in crystal.
