Mexican Murals - New Stairs-Art in my Neighborhood

Finally it has happened: There is a new mural on a public surface in San Miguel Chapultepec. Not only that, it is painted on a set of stairs, giving it an additional visual appeal.

This image can be found close to the Metro Constituyentes, on a short but very inclined alley, leading from the major street Parque Lira to the smaller Luis G. Curiel street in the Ampliación Daniel Garza.

Quite fittingly for the place, the mural depicts a small river, with waters cascading over rocks, and a mountainous scenery in the background. Maybe this is what the place looked like back before all this was turned into a city... Given the steep street it may be possible.

I considered myself lucky to have been passing by just when the artists were busy at work creating this lovely image. Let's hope it will become one of the more appreciated murals, which we'll be able to enjoy for a long time.
