"SWAMP MEET!" by Richard F. Yates (Holy Fool)

Howdy y'all! Yesterday was a hoot and a holler, as the family and I headed south, once again, to tackle a Halloween theme bizarre, which was held at the Oak's Amusement Park in Portland, Oregon! We had a lot of fun, and walked away with some real treasures (despite the heat and crowded conditions and about a million freakin' hornets swarming all over the place!) We all spent some dough, but I personally picked up some real goodies: a pack of greeting cards from the Mushi's Monsters booth, grabbed several prints from Floyd Sumner, and even found a retro, faux-vintage Satan decoration for Halloween! (NEAT!)

Here are just a xouple snaps from the event!

Our entire family are all suckers for a good SPOOKY event, and this one did not disappoint! (The price was certainly right! FREE to get in!!) We shopped and bopped around, looked at the rides (but they were mostly too big for the baby to enjoy---maybe next year!), and we even grabbed soft-serve icecream cones on the way out! I don't know why I forget about Oak's Park... It's a decent, little amusement park (with a fun, carnival atmosphere) that's less than an hour from our house! If you're in the Pacific Northwest for a spell, it's worth a visit! (And there's even FREE parking!!!)

Later folks!!! And thanks to all the artists, vendors, and organizers who made such an entertaining afternoon possible!
